The Procab CLA707 Classic double jack to double XLR cable is 1.5-metres long and has been armed with dependable jack and XLR plugs to give interference not even slightest chance the disrupt the audio signal. Besteld om 2 Behringer C2 condensator microfoons middels een DEVINE MPS 500 fantoomvoeding op een oude Boss BR600 recorder aan te sluiten.

Helaas constateerde ik na aansluiten een grote brom. Waar lag het aan?
Eerst dacht ik aan de fantoomvoeding (25 euro, dat kan natuurlijk nooit wat zijn) maar na aansluiten op een ander apparaat geen probleem. Ligt het aa n de kabel dan?.

Gelukkig had ik nog één female xlr naar stereo jack liggen (zat geleverd bij de Boss BR600 destijds). Die geprobeerd en ...geen brom meer. Verschil tussen een mono jack en een stereo jack schijnt iets met gebalanceerd signaal te maken te hebben, vandaar waarschijnlijk die brom.
Overigens, met 2 dynamische microfoons als adapter xlr-xlr kabel naar jack input van de BR600 geen probleem.

Heb nu 2 losse female xlr naar stereo jack kabels besteld (helaas geen dubbele kabel leverbaar met stereo jacks, benieuwd of het probleem daarmee opgelost is.

Kabel ziet er overigens goed en stevig uit, en zal ongetwijfeld nog ergens van pas komen, dus verdwijnt hij in mijn toverdoos met allerlei kabels en adapters.
