General

With the DWZ-B50i, Sony offers a fabulous microphone that is suited for a wide range of applications. The microphone is usually used to amplify instruments on stage and is particularly good at handling saxophones, trumpets and other wind instruments. The DWZ-B50i ensures high-quality, 24-bit digital audio combined with a reliable wireless connection. Sony's DWZ series consists of six different models that are all renowned for their excellent quality and plug-and-play user-friendliness. All DWZ products, including this DWZ-B50i, are pleasant and easy to work with.

The Sony Pro DWZ-B50i

With this microphone and receiver, Sony has introduced another solid product. Thanks to 24-bit PCM digital transmissions, high-quality sound is guaranteed at all times. The DWZ-50i has a frequency range of 10 Hz to 22 kHz, which results in a balanced, natural and clear audio reproduction. For a stable and reliable connection, you can choose between two different modes: Wide Band Hopping and Narrow Band Hopping. The choice of mode can determine the audio delay on your signal - maximum audio delays are 6 milliseconds for the Wide Band Hopping mode, and 3 milliseconds for the Narrow Band Hopping mode.

The ZRX-HR50 receiver

The Sony Pro DWZ-50i is supplied with a receiver, which enables you to switch between input signals and to find the right channel, and features a five-band equalizer. The receiver, too, is remarkably easy to use. It has a rugged metal housing, so you can use it under demanding circumstances without any worries, and it can easily withstand bumpy transport. If you like, you can mount the receiver in the optional RMM-HRD1 rack, where it will take up 1 unit of rack space. When you are adjusting the DWZ-B50i microphone and receiver, you can use the mute button to reduce unwanted noise. Once everything is set to your liking, the lock button enables you to fix your settings, so you won't undo them by accidentally pressing a button.
