If you're looking for a no-nonsense wireless headset microphone system to mount in your 19-inch rack, Shure's BLX14R-MX53 set is a well-informed choice. It consists of a BLX1 bodypack transmitter, a BLX4R receiver and an MX153 headset microphone, and delivers outstanding audio. The receiver and transmitter are easily synced, thanks to the former's QuickScan function, which automatically searches for an available frequency. Set the bodypack transmitter to the same frequency and you're good to go. In situations that call for an inconspicuous microphone, the included MX153 will serve you well. It's a slim mic that can be adjusted to the shape of your head and worn on either side. Its tan finish makes it perfect for people with a light skin tone. This Shure headset microphone delivers an impressive, crystal-clear output that is suitable for speech in particular.
