General

Made up of two BLX2 transmitters with Beta 58A microphone heads and a BLX88 dual receiver, the BLX288 set from Shure's affordable, professional BLX series is a real pleasure to work with. The transmitters and the receiver use the UHF band to communicate, and it's easy to set up a wireless connection, making this a great set for beginners and more advanced users alike. Musicians and sound engineers who often do gigs at various locations will love working with it.

Two Shure BLX2 Transmitters with Beta 58 Microphone Capsules

The Shure BLX2 handheld transmitters boast an impressive maximum range of 90 metres, and are powered for up to fourteen hours by a mere two AA batteries. Both of the transmitters in this set are equipped with a Beta 58A microphone capsule. The Beta 58A is quite popular - you've probably seen it at hundreds of concerts and festivals. Shure's Beta 58A mic capsules have a super-cardioid pickup pattern and a wide frequency range, making sure your voice is captured beautifully and without any feedback.

Shure BLX88 Dual Receiver

In essence, the Shure BLX88 is a dual edition of the Shure BLX4. Its powerful antennas have been incorporated into the housing, so there's no need for endless manual adjustments to ensure decent reception. At an impressive distance of max. 90 metres, the BLX88 will still easily pick up the signals from your two microphones. Meanwhile, Shure's QuickScan function makes life even easier for you - with a single push of a button, it automatically selects an interference-free channel.
