The Shure BLX Series lines up a full array of wireless transmitters and receivers, all developed to offer an affordable and accessible yet professional wireless solution for vocalists and presenters. This system combines a Shure BLX2 transmitter with a SM58 microphone capsule and a super-compact Shure BLX4 receiver - pair them via the UHF band and set up in a matter of minutes and be assured of a durable yet lightweight design that's ideal for fixed rigs or touring.

The Shure BLX2 Handheld Transmitter + SM58 Microphone Capsule

Since you'll find it in every professional venue all over the world, the SM58 microphone needs little introduction. This industry-standard mic is insensitive to feedback, accurately reproduces vocals and speech, and is ultimately reliable. Here, the SM58 microphone capsule comes pre-mounted on a lightweight yet robust BLX2 UHF handheld transmitter, setting up performers with a maximum range of no less than 90 metres, and with just two AA batteries, you get up to 14 hours of performance time.

The Shure BLX4 Receiver

The Shure BLX2 transmitter is paired with the BLX4 wireless receiver, which comes backed up by powerful internal antennas to ensure clean and uninterrupted connection. Shure's QuickScan function automatically syncs the handheld transmitter to the receiver, and is even capable of finding a free channel when there's a lot of bandwidth traffic, and to set it up, all you need to do is hook the output up to the PA via XLR or jack.

Ik ben flabbergasted vwb de kwaliteit van deze microfoon. Eerder zong ik met een draadloze microfoon van ca. € 1200 en naar mijn gevoel doet deze daar niet voor onder! Ik koos bewust voor de SM58 omdat dat een degelijke microfoon voor alle situaties is. Maar hij is naar mijn verbazing zoveel beter dan het exemplaar met draad; het geluid prikt zo goed door dat van de andere bandleden heen, de hoge tonen komen er ook heel goed bovenuit. Dit systeem kan, zonder te gaan piepen, meer volume creëren dan de reguliere bedrade SM58 microfoon. Kortom; de microfoon geeft heel veel houvast tijdens het zingen, iets dat nog weleens kan ontbreken als je gewend bent te zingen in een rockband en via monitoren je geluid krijgt. Ik koos overigens voor deze frequentie omdat ik daar ook in België mee kan optreden.
Wel een punt van aandacht: de meegeleverde gebruiksaanwijzing klopt niet. Deze spreekt van een apart zenderkastje en die heb je niet; je hebt alleen je microfoon en ontvanger. De zender is geintegreerd in je microfoon. Via YouTube vind je gelukkig zo een uitleg die wel goed bruikbaar is.
