General

Do you require studio quality audio for live applications and do you need it to be transferred wirelessly? This combination of SM86 with Shure SLX 2 transmitter and SLX 4 receiver, is a perfect set for on-stage use as well as for use in studios and presentations, etc. The SM86 is a condenser microphone with the durability of a dynamic microphone and therefore certainly suited for proper on-the-road operations! This version operates on frequency band H5. This is very well suited for use in Belgium.

Frequency range

The subtly optimised frequency range reaches from 50 Hz to 18 kHz and is adjusted for superior sound quality. Superfluous noise (like handling, wind and breathing sounds and feedback) is mostly or completely countered by various techniques, such as the 3-point shockmount system or the built-in pop filter.

Connection

The SM86 is mounted on an SLX2 transmitter, that sends the audio signal towards the SLX 4 receiver. This SLX 4 receiver then transfers the signal via the XLR or 1/4-inch jack output. The connection between transmitter and receiver is automatically established by the automatic transmitter set-up – the only thing you have to do is press a few buttons. Moreover, the SLX 4 automatically selects the best frequency to work in. This means that you won't have to install anything – it is all done automatically.
