General

The AKG WMS420 Vocal Set is a great-sounding, easy-to-set-up wireless handheld set with a very friendly price tag. The powerful HT420 handheld transmitter is equipped with a high-grade AKG D5 dynamic microphone capsule. In this set it communicates with the SR420 receiver over band D, which leads from 863 to 865 MHz. Within this frequency band, the system is equipped with eight pre-programmed channels. The best channel is automatically selected, to ensure reliable and interference-free signal transfers.

WMS420 Vocal Set: the handheld transmitter

The HT420 handheld transmitter has a synthetic housing and ergonomic design, so that it can take a hit, is light of weight and feels comfortable in your hand. A single AA battery has enough capacity for eight hours of wireless use. If you use rechargeable batteries, you can directly charge the handheld via the, separately available, AKG CU400 twin charger. As such you will always have a full unit handy.

D5 microphone capsule

The AKG WMS420 Vocal Set offers an exceptionally detailed and warm sound, thanks to the D5 microphone capsule. The capsule has a very wide frequency range that leads from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, so that every detail of your voice is perfectly registered. Thanks to the highly directional super-cardioid pickup pattern of the D5, ambient noise isn't picked up and the chances of feedback occurring are reduced.
