General

The DMSTetrad Vocal Set is a professional digital wireless microphone system by AKG. The set includes one handheld transmitter and a receiver. As the system operates on the 2.4 GHz ISM band, it can be used license-free all over the world. The audio is transmitted without being compressed first, this results in an extremely clear and full sound. Setting up is really easy, making the system ideal for bands and sound engineers, as well as for locations like rehearsal rooms, congress halls, schools, churches, etc.

DMSTetrad Vocal Set: the handheld transmitter

The DHTTetrad P5 is the digital handheld transmitter from the DMSTetrad Vocal Set. It is equipped with the P5 capsule by AKG. This capsule is a part of the Perception Live series and offers a clear and powerful sound for vocals and speech. It has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, which only registers the sound of your voice and reduces ambient sounds to a minimum. This also makes it insensitive to feedback.

The receiver

The DMSTetrad system contains the DSRTetrad stationary receiver. In order to set up this set you won't need a degree in sound engineering. Thanks to the 2-way communication, an available frequency is automatically found. The 2.4 GHz network is used by all kinds of applications (such as Wi-Fi, for instance), which is why AKG have done all in their power to reduce the sensitivity to interference of their systems. They have been very successful in this regard and you will be able to enjoy a crystal-clear, high-quality audio signal.

Even mijn verhaal:

Hen aantal jaren geleden bij jullie aangeschaft:
AKG DMST Vocal Set (2.4 GHz) handheld draadloos met 2 microfoons.
Een leuk systeem, omdat de ontvanger maar 1 he is en je er 4 microfoons mee kunt ontvangen.
Gelijk uitgebreid met een totaal van 4 AKG microfoons.
Deze microfoons gebruik ik voor presentatie.
Het eerste jaar werkte dit systeem voor mij uitstekend.
Daarna kwam de ellende: veel storingen, haperend geluid en drop-outs.
Geen idee waaraan dit zou kunnen liggen. Ook collega's gevraagd, maar niemand had een duidelijke uitleg. 2,4 GHz was immers overal te gebruiken.
Nu is mij duidelijk dat tijdens het soundchecken voor een lege zaal alles werkt, en met een zaal gevuld met publiek (tegenwoordig allen met gadgets die wifi gebruiken) er haperingen ontstaan.
Erg jammer van dit voor mij zo'n fijn systeem.
Het systeem is voor mij nu onbetrouwbaar.

Mijn vraag is nu:
Als al die "gadgets" over een tijdje naar de 5 GHz band verhuizen, is mijn probleem dan verholpen?
Is mijn systeem (AKG DMST Vocal Set (2.4 GHz) handheld draadloos) nu waardeloos?
