Since the introduction of the wah-wah pedal in the sixties, the VOX name has gained legendary status for the popular effect. The V847 Union Jack is based on the old V847 model, and has been designed closely following the original specifications. You'll get the same high-quality VOX sound in the famous rugged housing, and as such, the remarkable Union Jack is sure to inspire you to play your best solos or funky rhythms yet.

VOX V847 Union Jack: sound and dynamics

This bold VOX pedal can be powered either by a 9V battery or an optional 9V AC adapter. It has a buffered jack input to ensure that the quality of your bass sound remains intact so you can count on improved dynamics and sound. It also comes with a special soft case, so you can transport it safely and stylishly. Do you play rock, funk or blues? Then the Union Jack will be right at home in your setup!

The VOX Wah-Wah

When VOX designed the first wah-wah in the 1960s, they were looking for a way to make guitars sound more like muted trumpets, which were a key ingredient in a lot of music, in those days. The original VOX Wah-Wah quickly became popular and many guitarists continued to experiment with them, which is why you'll hear wah pedals in many of the greatest hits. It's still a must-have pedal for most guitarists today! And of course, it wouldn't be a true VOX pedal without a handsome logo right across the top.

MXR recently collaborated with some well-known artists to design some new pedals. In the case of the DD25 Dookie Drive that was Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. For the BFG07 Siete Santos Octavio Fuzz they enlisted the help of Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. Not to be outdone, Dunlop worked with Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains to create the JC95B Cry Baby Wah.
