Dunlop DVP1XL Volume (XL) volume and expression pedal
Product no: 9000-0009-2535 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

While the Dunlop DVP3 Volume (X) was kept compact for a pedal board setup, there were still a lot of requests for a new version with the same large housing as the DPV1 volume pedal. So Dunlop put the two pedals together to create the DVP1XL Volume (XL)! This volume/expression pedal has the exact same functions as the smaller original, but got an extra-large housing for more detailed volume swells and more expression.

Dunlop Volume (XL): volume and expression

The Volume (XL) can be used as a volume pedal and as an expression pedal. For the volume function, you can use the output jack to connect to your guitar amp, and the pedal will work the same as the volume potentiometer on your guitar. For use as an expression pedal, just connect the FX output to your effect pedal or to a 19-inch rack device, and then you can use the pedal to control effect parameters with your foot. Thanks to Dunlop's patented Steel Band Drive, you can enjoy reliable, frictionless operation.

Extra functions

This pedal offers a number of extra functions in order to optimise the expression function. You can, for instance, set your minimum values with the internal potentiometer for when the pedal is in the heel position. If you want to control a parameter with your toe instead, then there's also an internal switch that works to reverse the polarity of the toe/heel position. For maximum control, the Dunlop (XL) offers the option of adjusting the pedal tension in detail.

NAMM 2016: Maintenance-Free Tape-Echo by Dunlop

Wednesday 20 January 2016 By Lizanne

Lots of guitarists out there would love to experiment with an old-school tape echo. You know, those warm, analogue 60s-70s delays, brought about by a tape recorder with all sorts of fascinating controls. Unfortunately, there are no free rides in this world. The price of a (secondhand) tape recorder, if you can find one, is often astronomical, not to mention the costs of the cartridges and maintenance. So, Dunlop launched the EP103 Echoplex.
