The Philips DPM8900/02 Meeting Recorder
The innovative and high quality 360° microphone system has been made thoughtfully simple to set up and use and comes with four microphones that can be placed along the conference table and can be expanded further by adding up to two extra microphones (not included). By using six microphones, this system is able to register the speech of between 40 and 45 people. The DPM8900/02 system comes complete with a robust metal case that can carry all components.
Philips SpeechExec Software
Along with the system, Philips include a convenient copy of their SpeechExec software. This software is able to send recordings to specific destinations (to a secretary for example) for processing. Setting a function like this is referred to as a task and these tasks can be assigned a priority level. The status of each task is displayed in real-time so that if a recording has been processed as a text file, the text is added to the task entry so that it's easy to find, read and send onwards.
Tips or comments about this product
Please note: Philips have released software version 11.5 for all professional dictation devices. The software license (Windows only) that comes with every device lasts for two years and following the two year period, a license code will need to be purchased.
