General
The Philips DVT4000 is a solid handheld voice recorder that is particularly useful for recording conversations. A built-in high-quality stereo microphone ensures crystal-clear audio recordings, with the possible aid of ClearVoice or AutoAdjust+. The latter function analyses the incoming sound and subsequently selects the appropriate recording settings for you, guaranteeing clearly audible results, even under dire audio circumstances.
DVT4000: battery and connectors
Thanks to a Li-polymer battery, the DVT4000 is capable of performing for up to 50 consecutive hours. The handheld voice recorder is equipped with a clear colour display and features various practical functions, such as voice-controlled recording (which starts your recording as soon as you start to speak) and pre-recording (which includes the five seconds before you pressed the record button). Playback of your recordings is possible via a built-in speaker or via your headphones, and you can even connect an external mono/stereo microphone or a line device with a 3.5mm mini jack.
Storage and data transfer
The 4GB internal memory of the DVT4000 offers you 1,140 hours of recordings in MP3 format, and even if you prefer the highest possible recording quality, there is still room for 6 hours of audio. A separately available microSD card (max. 32 GB) provides you with additional storage space. Transferring audio files to your Windows, Mac or Linux system is easy. Use the included USB cable to connect the DVT4000 to your computer, and the recorder - which can also be used as an MP3 player - is automatically charged and recognised as a storage device. All you need to do now is copy and paste the desired files.
