The Blue Snowball Gloss Black is an affordable and simple plug-and-play USB condenser microphone with a neat shining black coating. You can connect it directly to your PC, Mac or iPad and there is no need for the installation of complicated drivers. The condenser microphone has a switchable pickup pattern and a full, bright, open sound. It picks up every detail of the sound that you are recording very precisely. Vocals, instruments or an entire band: the Blue Snowball can record them all!
The switch of the Snowball Gloss Black
The Snowball is a condenser microphone that is phantom powered via a USB port. The pickup pattern of the microphone can be altered via a 3-way switch at the back of the microphone. You can switch between cardioid (setting 1) and omnidirectional (setting 3). In setting 2 the cardioid pattern is attenuated by 10 dB. Ideal for recording loud sound sources like guitar amplifiers or brass instruments.
Windows, PC and iPad
The Blue Snowball comes including a practical desktop stand and a USB cable. The stand allows you to set your microphone at the ideal height. Thanks to the plug-and-play principle, there is no need for the installation of drivers on your PC or Mac. The USB adaptor even allows you to connect the microphone to your Apple iPad.

Al met al een mooie microfoon, met goed (en retro) uiterlijk voor mensen die goede geluidskwaliteit willen voor een schappelijke prijs. Top!
Pro:
Kwaliteit-prijs verhouding is super
Weinig echo met de gerichte standen, perfect voor gesprekken en opnames
Verstelbaar, de microfoon kan op de meegeleverde basis enigszins draaien (Het draaipunt zit wel in de microfoon zelf) zodat je deze goed kan positioneren
En de aansluiting kan een kleuter zelfs nog doen!
Het enige minpuntje dat ik heb is dat de basis van het meegeleverd standaard nogal ruim is, wat voor mij niet super is. Maar je microfoon blijft in ieder geval stevig staan!
Ik heb deze microfoon gekocht in combinatie met de Innox IVA 08 XLR broadcasting microfoon statief en het Devine SPS 150 popfilter, en alles past perfect bij elkaar.
Het geluid van de microfoon is op Windows 10 wat zacht, maar met software als Audacity is dit heel goed recht te trekken.

De microfoon zit goed ingepakt met luchtkussentjes zodat er geen stoot schade ontstaat!
Heb de microfoon nu een week in gebruik en ik ben er zeer over te spreken! De kwaliteit is super en het ziet er mooi uit. Heb geen last van ruis en ik heb voor dit geld heen betere kunnen kopen! Ik gebruik hem voor het streamen van games en het werkt fantastisch. Plug and play! Ik raad hem zeker aan voor de beginnende en ook voor gevorderde gamers/YouTubers/ Streamers. Wat ik er later nog aan toe wil voegen is een studio arm! Maar alles op zijn tijd!

Zeer tevreden en zeker van de snelle levering van de Bax-Shop
Ik gebruik hem voornamelijk voor Skype en het becommentariëren van video's op Youtube. Hiervoor is stand 1 ideaal omdat de bol dan enkel geluid opneemt dat langs voor in de mic dringt. Wel opletten: te dicht praten kan een ambetant geluid veroorzaken, bekend onder de naam van 'popping'. Ik raad aan oftewel verderaf te praten, oftewel dichtbij maar niet rechtstreeks in de mic, oftewel een pop filter kopen.
stand 3 is wel degelijk goed voor interviews, omdat je dan in 360 graden geluid opneemt. Maar aan je computer zorgt deze stand er enkel voor dat de skype-contactpersoon zichzelf hoort, wat enorm storend is. Daarbij klinkt de stem in stand 1 warmer.
de service van bax-shop was voor mij baanbrekend! De dag na de bestelling stond mijn pakje al klaar. Betalen kan met PayPal, wat voor mij bijzonder handig is aangezien ik niet over een credit card beschik.
als je twijfelt over een mic, koop dan zeker deze én koop hem hier. Je zal er geen spijt van hebben.
Eerst zat ik met de gedachte dat hij erg in de weg zou staan op het bureau maar dit valt heel erg mee.
En de kwaliteit is ook super.
Ik gebruik Cubase en heb de microfoon niet in cubase correct kunnen gebruken en neem daarom alles op via audacity en import dan de samples in cubase.
