General

The soprano ukulele has a unique sound character beloved for its lightness. Stagg has a wide variety of ukuleles in their assortment, including the USX-ROS-S, which is a soprano ukulele made from durable materials. The type of wood chosen for an acoustic instrument has a lot to do with the overall tone the instrument will create. As such, Stagg chose to give this uke a solid cedar top with rosewood sides and back, which works to create a beautifully articulated sound with plenty of overtones that are balanced out with warm lows.

Stagg USX-ROS-S: features

The USX-ROS-S has a few distinctive design characteristics, such as the two symmetrical f holes on the top. In addition to that, instead of placing the soundhole on the top, Stagg chose a side placement to provide the uke with optimal resonance from the solid cedar top. Just like other Stagg ukuleles, the USX-ROS-S comes with Aquila strings which can be tuned guitar-style via the chrome-plated tuners. The neck and headstock are made of mahogany, and the 12-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood. You can enjoy the beautiful wood grain in all its splendour, thanks to the natural finish. This truly is a worthy ukulele, with the bonus of a friendly price tag.
