General
Superb playability and superb sound courtesy of a solid acacia soundboard and high-grade built-in electronics: this is the electro-acoustic Ortega RUET Elite Series Concert ukulele. The naturally complex wood grain has been sealed in a coat of high-gloss varnish, while the mahogany neck has been topped with a walnut fretboard and a stunning Tree of Life inlay that extends from the headstock all the way to the 18th fret. Polished off with a set of black Friction machine heads, this model boasts supreme tuning stability as well as graceful aesthetics. Elite gig bag included.
Comfort & Flexibility
The concert-sized body features an elegant scalloped cutaway in the lower shoulder to ease fret reach and enhance playing comfort, while the strap button fitted on the base is a welcome perk. Plugged in, the built-in Ortega MagusFly preamp system faithfully captures the naturally bright and rich acoustic sound of this uke and features a discreet set of controls mounted just inside the soundhole alongside a phase pot to counter feedback. Thoughtful to the end, the preamp system is powered by the included rechargeable battery, completing a professional, stage-ready instrument.
