General

Ortega present the HYDRA-ZS: An exquisitely-finished, double-neck ukulele with one 8-string and one 4-string neck. This special breed of an instrument has a body made of laminated ziricote with an equally special open-pore finish for an impressively natural look, complemented by gold-plated tuners and a graceful 'Tree of Life' walnut inlay on the mahogany fretboard. Not only fun to play, the HYDRA-ZS is sure to turn necks as you strut down the street with it.

Double The Fun!

The upper neck has 8 strings and leans towards the sound of a mandoline, while the bottom neck is more reminiscent of classic tenor ukulele. For optimal playing comfort, Ortega have built in an armrest and there's a MagusUke preamp fitted with a toggle switch to fire up one, or both of the under-saddle piëzo pickups. In case you're wondering 'how am I ever going to carry this thing around?', you'll be glad to know the Ortega HYDRA-ZS includes a luxury, made-to-measure gig bag.

Just received my new ukulele, delivered today a week early than the original date given , delivered in perfect condition with all the other pieces I ordered , just tuned it in sounds really great . Also just paired the receivers and transmitter for the amp god this is going to be fun for me but maybe not my wife and other people . Can’t wait to take it to the local ukulele club tomorrow night
