The Makawao UK-40 is a luxury concert ukulele with a mahogany body and top. This wood type and the transparent lacquer give the ukulele its beautiful red brown colour. The fretboard is made of ovangkol and is equipped with 19 frets. The UK-40 has a full, warm and open sound and is fit for starters as well as experts on a budget.

Hij was op één punt niet goed afgeschuurd, ik heb hier een melding van gemaakt en kon 'm kosteloos omruilen. Maar om niet weer op pad te moeten met die grote doos hebben we dat maar voor lief genomen (kan zelf ook een schuurpapiertje erlangs halen). Het is gewoon waar naar zijn geld.
Wij zijn erg erg blij mee :)
De Ukelele oogt goed en klinkt erg fris en leuk. De afwerking is goed! deze prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is zelfs erg goed! Wel was het fretbord erg droog! Advies: Even de snaren eraf en het fretbord verzorgen met wat lijnolie of citroenolie! Kortom: Een prima instrument voor beginner en gevorderde!
Ze zijn allebei fantastisch afgewerkt, hebben een mooi geluid en zijn zeer makkelijk te stemmen. Ik ben een vioolspeler en stel hoge eisen aan mijn instrumenten maar ik wil niet teveel geld uitgeven. Als een instrument niet goed is afgewerkt dan is het voor mij onbespeelbaar.
Ik ben zeer tevreden over dit product. De UK-40 ukulele heeft meer fretten dan de UK-30 en heeft daarom meer bereik al geeft de UK-30 iets meer het "hawaii" geluid. Tja ik kon niet kiezen maar dat is dus het verschil.
Ik raad je deze ukulele aan, het instrument is goed bespeelbaar, makkelijk te stemmen en fraai afgewerkt.
