In the case of Kala's KA-SEMB, every little detail adds to a high-quality sound and stylish appearance that are unprecedented for a soprano ukulele in this price range. Here, the mahogany top, back and sides shape stunningly rich sound while the GraphTech NuBone XB string nut and bridge saddle do their part offering superb resonance. Not only that, the whole thing comes coated in a beautifully transparent, blue satin-gloss lacquer to make sure that the grain pattern of the mahogany can be clearly seen and enjoyed.

The Kala Exotic Mahogany Series

Ukuleles from the Kala Exotic Mahogany Series are significantly higher-quality than most the entry-level models, but without the expensive price tag that top models command. What makes this series so special is its three-dimensional wood grain pattern that varies per model - from wavy to symmetrical. There are soprano, concert and tenor models in the series and each uke comes complete with a gig bag.
