If you're looking for a reasonably-priced soprano ukulele with a mahogany body, then Kala's KA-S from the Satin Mahogany series fits the bill. It has a satin-gloss finish and the neck is also made of mahogany with a rosewood fretboard. In combination with the GraphTech NuBone XB string nut and bridge saddle, this uke has a solid sound with just the right amount of brightness.

Satin Mahogany Series

The popular Satin Mahogany series was introduced by Kala in 2005 and has been its flagship ever since. These chic-looking ukes have a satin-gloss finish, white bindings and a mahogany body that gives them a rich, warm sound. The Satin Mahogany series ukuleles are just as popular with more advanced players as they are with beginners and they even come complete with a gig bag.

Kala

Kala Brand Music Company was founded by Mike Upton in the US in 2005 and produces hand-made ukuleles, U-basses and guitars in Petaluma, California. Just like with their ukulele basses in 2007, Kala has made a name for themselves with their signature Elite series, which has globally put the brand on the map. Kala invested a lot in creating instruments that have a distinct sound as well as comfortable playability. Since then, the company has been providing ukulele players all around the world with quality instruments at a great price.
