The solid spruce top of the Kala KA-FMTG tenor ukulele helps frame a distinctly fresh and bright sound with outstanding resonance and masses of volume supported by a beautifully textured flamed maple back and sides, that not only looks great, but adds transparency and fullness. More high quality detailing includes white purfling and a synthetic bone string saddle and nut.

Wrote the following about Kala KA-FMTG Solid Spruce Top Flame Maple Tenor Ukulele with Gig Bag

Op 't oog een mooi afgewerkt instrument. Maar dik in de lak dus een ietwat doffe klank. Toch leek 't de beste uke die leverbaar was. Bij nadere inspectie bleek echter het klankgat niet helemaal zuiver rond maar onregelmatig en de rand was lelijk afgewerkt. Bovendien zaten er twee fretjes los. Volgens de site zou het in Californië zijn gemaakt maar op 't instrument zat een sticker: made in China. Niet best.
