Meet the Ibanez URGT100: an electro-acoustic tenor ukulele that's been styled like the brand's popular RG Series electric guitars, complete with those sharp double cutaways, the iconic headstock and a soundhole-free top, keeping the looks as well as the sound as tight as possible. So this wee nylon-string instrument has the playability to match, Ibanez have given it a 15.75-inch fretboard radius and its own URGT neck profile.

The URGT100: Rich Acoustic Sound, Prominent Amplified Sound

While there's no sound hole in the top, Ibanez have made a few sound holes in the left side of the body. This way, you can properly hear the rich sound of the spruce top and the rounded trebles of the okoume body. Plug it in, and the AEQ-UT preamp and undersaddle pickup of the URGT100 take over to deliver flexible tone. Matching black gig bag included.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
