Flight's Travel Series ukuleles are known for their satisfying sound, durable build and superb value for money. With this TUC model, the accomplished Slovenian brand offers a great concert size uke that, compared to the smaller soprano, has a bigger body and a longer scale length for a fuller sound and more room to grab chords. This particularly inspiring Travel Series model features a basswood top and beautifully colourful drawing of Sakura (Japanese cherry blossoms).
The Travel Ukulele Concert Series: Solid Foundation
Flight have opted to craft the back of the body as well as the neck out of ABS, rendering the uke much less sensitive to (extreme) changes in temperature and humidity. As a result, it's not just the tuning stability that gets enhanced, but the playing ease. In addition, the arched back design helps to generate more volume and a lively and punchy sound, while the neck has a wood-like texture which feels more natural than smooth plastic.
Designed Down to the Last Detail
The team over at Flight clearly have eyes for detail and have equipped this TUC model with a zero fret; an extra fret at the string nut that contributes to pure intonation. This combines with precise open-gear tuners and the smart design of the ABS bridge to guarantee solid tuning stability and, as a thoughtful bonus, Flight have even fitted a strap button so you can attach a strap for maximum playing comfort. To finish, you're getting a gig bag and a useful instruction booklet with your TUC uke.

Ik heb heel wat ukeleles besteld en kon me draai er niet in vinden uiteindelijk een bariton gekocht. Maar ja andere noten en best groot voor de vingers. Ben al wat ouder dus vingers zijn minder soepel.
Ik wilde dus een kleinere want hij was dus toch ietsje te groot.
Dus een concert moest het worden. Niet te duur lekker geluidje en niet 1 waar je zo hard moet duwen dat je vingers er af vallen.
Ik vind dit echt een leuk geluid hebben. Best hard. Hij is altijd zuiver je kunt hem altijd meenemen. En dus overal spelen. Hij heeft een lage interactie dus je krijgt geen pijn in je vingers want hij is echt licht bespeelbaar. Leuk printje vind ik. Dus ik geef deze echt een 9. Want tja het geluid is prima maar wel wat anders dan andere.
Ik vind dit juist fijn want ik ben toch een beetje doof. Lol.
Ik zeg doen echt waar een betere voor deze prijs kun je niet vinden. Hij is plastic ja maar zeker geen weggooi ding. Hij heeft alleen maar voordelen. Trekt niet krom geen lats van vuil en water. En hij maakt goed geluid. Echt wat een geweldig ding. Maar als je je wat aantrekt wat anderen kunnen zeggen over dat hij plastic is ga dan voor 1 die 250 is want voor deze prijs vind je gewoon geen betere. Ik speel er vrolijk op los geweldig hou van de ukelele. Wil ze allemaal wel. Wat een fun om dit te spelen had ik 50 jaar eerder moeten doen.

Wrote the following about Flight Travel Series TUC Sakura Concert Ukulele with Gig Bag
Superinstument!!! Mooi qua look en mooi qua klank! :-) De verhouding tussen de prijs en de kwaliteit zit hier heel goed! Dit is de eerste ukelele die ik ooit kocht en ik ben er echt heel blij mee! De eerste paar dagen moet je hem heel frequent stemmen (dus een stemapparaatje is heel handig, al bestaan er daar ook apps voor), maar na een dag of 10 is dat veel minder frequent nodig. Ik ben ook blij dat ik de concert (= iets groter dan de sopraan) heb gekozen, die vind ik voor een volwassene heel handig qua formaat. En de klank van de concert zou ook net wat voller zijn dan die van de sopraan (al kan ik dat natuurlijk zelf niet vergelijken). Aanrader!!!

De Flight Travel TUC Sakura concert ukelele ziet er mooi uit en ligt goed in de hand. De bijgeleverde draagtas is ook prima. Alleen tijdens het spelen moet ik regelmatig opnieuw stemmen, maar dat kan ook zijn omdat het instrument nieuw is en nog moet settelen. Verder verliep het aankoop proces soepel, al kwam de bestelling wel later dan vermeld.
