With the introduction of the Princess Series Sophia Soundwave concert ukulele, Flight shake up the ukulele-industry with an electro-acoustic model with built-in effects! Next to the fact that it offers reverb, delay and chorus effects, the innovative Soundwave Pickup System gives you full preamp control and doesn't even require that you plug the uke into an amp first. Even during fully-acoustic sets, you can add a new dimension to your sound with effortless ease.

The Sophia Soundwave: Regally Esteemed Sound

For the build, Flight have opted to craft the Sophia using solid spruce for the soundboard and walnut for the back and sides. This particular construction guarantees a deliciously bright foundation sound with plenty of depth and attitude, while high-quality components such as the bone string nut and pre-installed Worth Brown fluorocarbon strings take the overall quality to a regally esteemed level. The Flight Sophia Soundwave comes complete with a padded gig bag, instruction booklet, sticker pack and USB charging cable.

Dit is de beste ukelele die ik in handen heb gehad. Zowel op gebied van sound als uiterlijk. Dat is natuurlijk strikt persoonlijk. Het instrument klinkt open en licht, waardoor het lang niet zo doosjesachtig klinkt als andere ukelele's. Die zijn in mijn smaak vaak wat te warm en dof van klank. Nogmaals, dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk. Voor mij is hij in ieder geval perfect. Een soort flamencogitaar onder de ukelele's.
De aanvulling van het Soundwave systeem is mooi, maar natuurlijk niet essentieel. Bij een wat hoger volume geeft het ook wat feedback, maar wie het met mate gebruikt zal er veel plezier van hebben. Ontzettend jammer dat Bax deze modellen uit het assortiment neemt!!
