Levante offers a number of great brass instruments for beginners. The FH6205 flugelhorn is a Bb horn with all the features a beginner needs so you can enjoy memorable first years at music school or in a fanfare. This flugelhorn comes with a soft case.

Levante FH6205 Bb Flugelhorn

The body of this flugelhorn is made of gold brass, and it features Monel valves. The advantages of Monel valves are that they’re relatively easy to clean, require very little maintenance and are insensitive to corrosion. You’ll find a finger ring on the third slide so you can easily tune your instrument, and the FH6205 has a total of three water keys for releasing condensation as you play; these are placed on the first and third slide, as well as after the first curve. Furthermore, the FH6205 features an 11mm bore and a 152mm bell.

The flugelhorn

The flugelhorn is one of the most important instruments in a fanfare orchestra - some groups have up to 14! If you'd rather have a more unique role, then this instrument is also a key player in brass bands, where you'll be more likely to find just one or two flugelhorn players. Flugelhorns can also be found in concert bands, though that is less common nowadays. Of course, you could always play pop or jazz, as these genres often feature the flugelhorn for ballads and solo pieces that need a warm brass sound. Once you have this fantastic flugelhorn at home, the only thing you need to do is sign up for lessons or join a music collective and then practise, practise, practise!
