General

You may have seen the legendary Paul McCartney's performance with the Foo Fighters where he played a semi-acoustic 4-string Cigar Box guitar much like the James Neligan Hogshead. This compact instrument features a single-coil P-90 pickup and an all-solid body made of mahogany, spruce and rosewood. It can be played by plucking, strumming, and sliding and can be tuned to DGBE or an open tuning like D, G or C. As you can see, nothing about this semi-acoustic cigar box guitar is set in stone! What's more, its compact size makes it easy to take with you wherever you go.
