General

The Roland PDX-8 V-Pad digital drum pad offers an accurate response and a comfortable playing experience. Connect it to your Roland drum module and it produces a drum sound of your choice. The 8-inch PDX-8, with its expanded 10-inch rim, is equipped with two triggers, creating an audible difference between a rimshot and a regular hit on the head.

The Roland PDX8 V-Pad is fitted with a so-called mesh head. This type of drumhead is made of mesh, bearing a closer resemblance to an acoustic drumhead, in both look and feel, than a rubber drum pad. As an additional benefit, this type of pad creates very little noise.
