Connect the black Roland PD-85BK V-Pad to a Roland drum module, and this digital drum pad will produce any feasible sound. It's an ideal snare drum or tom! The improved, ultra-rugged pad is more sensitive than ever and uses dual-triggering technology, enabling you to create an audible difference between a hit on the drumhead and a rimshot.
The versatile PD85BK
Connect the Roland PD-85 to the tom input of the TD-20 or TD-12, and you can use its dual-triggering technology. Connect it to the snare input of these modules, and you can even use brush techniques. Compatibility with all TD sound modules is ensured. Connect the PD-85 to the TD-20, TD-12, TD-10 or TD-8, however, and you can really use its full potential.
Mesh head
The term mesh head indicates that the Roland PD85 V-Pad is made of a mesh material. Consequently, it has a much better response (the way in which your drum stick rebounds) than a rubber pad. A mesh head also looks more similar to an acoustic drum and is very quiet. In short, this PD-85Bk V-Pad is a sensitive, rugged, quiet drum pad with a highly realistic feel and response.
