General

Most bands know how much hassle it can be to have to ensure the perfect sound for your audience at all times. AKG are aware of this and they have developed a dynamic microphone that can handle nearly all types of instruments. The microphone is well suited for wind instruments, but a guitar amplifier shouldn't be a problem either! This is mainly thanks to the large volume that the microphone can process. The maximum SPL value is a deafening 156 dB, which also means that it is perfectly suited for percussion. This is precisely why AKG have included a special bracket with which you can fasten the microphone on a snare of bass drum.

You will always find a good application for this microphone and this means that you won't have to drag a different microphone along for every different instrument. Thanks to its solid exterior, the microphone is also well protected during heavy transport. As you can see in the photos, the microphone is nice and compact and the cardioid pickup pattern ensures that the sound of instruments will always be amplified at high quality. Enjoy quality at an attractive price!

AKG D40 professional dynamic drum/instrument - microphone
Wrote the following about AKG D40 professional dynamic drum/instrument - microphone
This d40 is great for snare or Tom's, or even snare underside. Definitely designed for live use over studio. The mics don't enhance the sound or offer any pre-eq like more expensive Audix. D40 does a great job capturing a raw and true sound which will require good production skills if used for recording. Otherwise easy to use, the rim clip is very good and the mic is very sturdy and durable.

Klinkt goed.

Wrote the following about AKG D40 professional dynamic drum/instrument - microphone

D40. Goede diepe en heldere akoestische gitaar? D40. Mooi hoograndje op een baritonstem? D40. Sologitaar uit een Celestion Vintage 30 cab? D40. Knallende snare? You guessed it.
