General

If you own a recording studio or want to get the best sound out of your drum kit during a gig, you might want to amplify a drum kit completely. This does mean that a complete battery of microphones will have to be positioned. This D-122 by AKG is your best choice for the kick drum as AKG have achieved a perfect balance between the low frequencies of a kick drum and the highs of a wind instrument. This makes the microphone well suited for use with bass amplifiers or trombones. The construction of the microphone ensures that tones below 100 Hz are also picked up accurately and the special shape of the head ensures that a high-quality sound can be created. By adjusting the position of the head, you can either go for a clean sound that is fit for studios or you can go for a groovy bass for on stage. The microphone can easily be brought into position thanks to the accessory microphone clip. This is a very good microphone that is capable of amplifying or recording all kinds of low-frequency instruments

AKG D-112 instrument microphone for drums
