General

Meinl's AV1BK Artist Series Timbales are a special timbale set that pays tribute to one of the greatest timbaleros ever: Amadito Valdes. The set consists of two timbales, measuring 14 and 15 inches in diameter, respectively. Both timbales feature a worked-in flange to give them a unique sound, and they are equipped with Meinl's Floatune Tuning System, which uses metal clamps and the included L-shaped tuning key. The timbales produce the beautifully dry, classic sound that is so typical for these kinds of instruments.

Extras and maintenance

The AV1BK timbale set consists of more than just the two powder-coated steel timbales. To hold them up, Meinl included a height-adjustable tripod stand. That stand also features an adjustable cowbell holder, so all that's left to get is the cowbell itself. Furthermore, to make your life a little easier, Meinl also included special Tune Up oil, that makes tuning the timbales a bit easier.
