General

From the constant tension of the drumheads to the forces you apply to them when hitting rimshots, tension rods have to put up with a lot of abuse. These SST-5035 stainless steel tension rods are relatively short, making them excellently suited for shallow, piccolo-style snare drums, and because they're made of stainless steel, they will make sure your heads stay perfectly tuned for much longer! Pearl's stainless steel tension rods are machined from a single piece of stainless steel, making them exceedingly sturdy and durable. That is why they're used in most of Pearl's drum kits.
