General
The Pioneer XDJ-1000 is a modern tabletop player for DJs. It boasts a 7-inch touch screen, works seamlessly with Rekordbox, Kuvo and Serato, and offers all the functions you need to make the perfect mix. Many features of the CDJ-2000 Nexus - such as a USB port, Wi-Fi connectivity and the famous beat sync function - can also be found on the XDJ-1000. As the tabletop player has an intuitive graphical user interface, it’s still easy to control. The GUI is divided into three sections - browse, play and perform - so you can keep a clear overview at all times.
Pioneer XDJ-1000: touch screen
The XDJ-1000 has a large colour touch screen, allowing for quick and easy control. It displays all kinds of useful information about your tracks, and also serves as a QWERTY keyboard. Additionally, the touch screen allows you to edit parameters such as pitch and cues, or to study your waveforms in great detail by zooming in. You’ll be able to start your tracks with infinitesimal accuracy and make the smoothest transitions. A practical key indicator analysis function shows you whether a new track matches a playing track by means of a traffic light system. Two other new functions - quantized beat jump and loop move - enable you to skip beats or even entire loops without affecting your cues.
USB and Wi-Fi
As the Pioneer XDJ-1000 features Wi-Fi connectivity, you can connect it to Rekordbox, which analyses your tracks. You can also opt for a USB connection, or plug your tablet or smartphone (iOS and Android) into the tabletop player. The XDJ-1000 is then able to play back tracks which have already been analysed. If you colour-code certain files in Rekordbox, the Pioneer player will display that colour coding by means of a coloured light, making it easier for you to find the tracks you’re looking for. Finally, you can incorporate the XDJ-1000 into your Serato setup for an optimal, flexible workflow.

Mijn vriendin draait op 2000 nexus dus ik heb ze goed met elkaar kunnen vergelijken. De XDJ-1000 voelt enigszins 'el cheapo' aan t.o.v de nexus serie, vrijwel alles is afgewerkt met plastic en het weegt geen drol, maargoed voor 920 euro ps zijn het prachtige apparaten!
Alles werkt naar behoren, LED-scherm is helder en heel duidelijk. Heb ze al meerdere keren meegenomen op locatie en het scherm werkt zo goed als altijd (soms haperingen, maar dan gewoon even calibreren!) Alleen de hotcue's had ik liever als fysieke knoppen gehad. Timing speelt daarbij een hele grote rol en haperingen in het scherm kunnen je daarbij dan weer net niet gebruiken. Voor loops geldt hetzelfde.
Verder echt goede apparaten, zéker kijkend naar de prijs. Doet niet echt onder voor de grote broers Nexus en Nexus 2: vrijwel alles zit erop wat je nodig hebt!
Xdj ook de beatjump functie extra. Zoekfunctie gewoon met toetsenbord veel makkelijker. Besloten om de Nexussen te verkopen en 2 xdj 1000 ervoor terug te nemen. Harde schijven usb werken zo snel met inladen tracks komt nexus 1 seconden op te kort.
Hotcue op touch werken perfect.
En ook players voelen gewoon super deugelijk aan.
Prijs is zo een keurig netjes meer dan waard. Dat vergelijkt met nexus 2 heb je bijna 3 xdj 1000s voor en zelfde functie, maar je kan geen cd's draaien, dat doet niemand meer zowat. Ipv je te verlekkeren aan de cdjs koop gewoon de xdj's en geloof me je draait niet minder erom of doet onder tegenover de 2000's wat enorme geldklopperij is. Mk3 cdj 2000 en cdj 2000 nexussen gehad. Maar vergelijkt met xdj 1000 is xdj 1000 die gewoon mee kan gaan met de rest
Ik was nogal sceptisch over het touchscreen, wat de latency ervan was en hoe het scherm zou werken in een klamme of vochtige omgeving. Ik heb deze speler bij verschillende optredens gebruikt, zowel binnen als buiten en het werkt perfect!
Even wennen als je direct van een CDJ2000 setje afkomt, omdat alle hardware knoppen nu in het display geïntegreerd zitten, maar alles zit netjes en overzichtelijk verwerkt met een zeer handige performance display om tijdens een mix alles vlot onder je vingers te hebben.
Pluspunten:
-Touchscreen werkt goed in alle omstandigheden
-Touchscreen is extreem snel, zonder enige vertraging direct resultaat
-QWERTY toetsenbord is heel erg handig voor verzoekjes
- Sluit perfect aan op Pioneer Rekordbox
- Snelle dataoverdracht met USB 3.0
- Verlichte USB poort om snel en overzichtelijk te zien welke USB er is aangesloten
- Performance sectie voor verschillende functies zoals Beat Jump in de mix
Minpunten:
-Ik had graag een verlicht jogwheel gezien, zoals bij zijn oudere broer, de CDJ2000NXS
-Er zit geen digital out op, wat ik graag had gezien voor de beste audio kwaliteit
Al met al valt te zeggen dat dit een perfect apparaat is voor mensen die geen 700 euro per speler extra uit willen geven om een clubstandaard set in huis te hebben, want met deze speler heb je dat al én nog meer functies dan je zou hebben op de CDJ2000NXS!
Voor deze prijs een aanrader.

CD-s tsja die kunnen er niet in. Maar ja ik haal alles op beatport. Waarom zou ik het dan eerst op CD zetten? Gewoon vanaf de USB. Koop een goede USB 3. alles werkt supersnel..
