General
The Denon DJ SC6000M PRIME is a professional tabletop DJ media player fitted with a motorised platter. It can be used as a standalone unit and is perfect to get the crowd going at festivals and clubs, or your mates on a Tuesday night. Driven by Denon DJ's self-developed ENGINE OS and featuring an unprecedented 10.1-inch full-colour touch screen, this tabletop media player can be rightfully called one of a kind.
SC6000M: Motorised
The centrepiece of the SC6000M is undoubtedly the 8.5-inch motorised platter, which fulfils the wish of many DJs looking for a genuine, turntable experience. The platter has been installed with a quick-release slip mat that makes it looks like there's an actual vinyl record on top of the SC6000M. It's powered by a brushless motor, so the torque can be freely adjusted to gives any scratch-DJ the freedom to go all-out.
Workflow and Lay-Out
The touch screen of the SC6000M isn't just any touch screen; it's the most advanced one we've seen installed on a media player to date! Next to navigation, you can use it to search through and import entire music libraries. Easily change or create track lists, adjust waveforms and mix harmonically with the Key Shift feature. You'll also find a '2-decks-in-1' mode, the usual performance pads, a pitch fader and, if you've imported any tracks from Rekordbox that have bypassed the ENGINE, you can simply ask the SC6000M to perform a track analysis.
Playback Options Galore
Playback issues are a thing of the past with this Denon DJ player. With three USB ports, an SD-card slot and internal storage in the form of an HDD, it truly doesn't matter how large your collection of tracks is or which file formats it includes. The SC6000M supports FLAC, ALAC and WAV, as well as wireless music streaming via Wi-Fi and streaming services like TIDAL. If this is the only multimedia player in your set-up, you can rest assured that the other devices are offered convenient access its HDD, too!
