In the heyday of analogue synthesizers, Tom Oberheim and Dave Smith were both influential, cordially competitive designers. When legends like that work together, you just know the results will be astonishing! The result of their collaboration, the Sequential OB-6 polyphonic analogue synthesizer, is a great piece of technology with a delightfully retro look. Don't let its old-school controls and striking blue stripes fool you, though, the OB-6 is a brand new instrument with modern options such as MIDI, USB-MIDI, LEDs and room for hundreds of presets.

The Sequential OB-6 Analogue Synthesizer

The Sequential OB-6 is a six-voice polyphonic analogue synthesizer with two discrete voltage- controlled oscillators, a sub oscillator and a noise oscillator per voice. Their combined signal is sent to a 12dB filter (with low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch functionality), so you can colour the spectrum. An analogue VCA follows, and a comprehensive, studio-grade effects section completes the picture. Along the way, you'll have plenty of possibilities to shape your sound by means of envelopes, LFO, various routing options and real-time controlling. In other words, you'll certainly get the chance to express yourself!
