General

Think of an analogue synth and chances are the Moog name will not be far away. That's not surprising seeing as each synth they bring to the market is nothing short of outstanding. That includes this limited edition Moog Subsequent 37 CV that is a redesign of the ultra-powerful Sub 37 Tribute Edition. It includes a number of improvements and has a new look thanks to the robust aluminium and steel housing combined with the wooden side panels.

Subsequent 37 CV: features

The keyboard is one of the areas that has been improved and the 37 velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch are better than ever. The headphone amplifier is more powerful than before making it better for monitoring purposes when playing live. The CV in this model's name refers to the four assignable CV outputs and there are two assignable Gate outputs as well which means the Moog Subsequent 37 CV can be seamlessly integrated with your existing Eurorack system for the ultimate synthesizer platform.

Innovation

The analogue signal path is another area that has been upgraded on this model compared to the one it's based upon. The gain-stage of the ladder filter has been changed so that it offers more saturation and compression, for instance. The range of the Multidrive has also been significantly extended for even greater sonic capability and modular control. Just 2000 of these special Moog Subsequent 37 CV paraphonic synths are available worldwide, so if you want one, order it today!

Tips or comments about this product
  • Let op: De MIDI-connectoren op dit apparaat zitten relatief diep in de behuizing, waardoor alleen 'slanke' MIDI-pluggen passen. Bijvoorbeeld de Stagg SMD-kabels.

Wrote the following about Moog Subsequent 37 CV Limited Edition paraphonic synthesizer

NAMM 2016: Casio MZ-X: A New MZ-2000?

Monday 11 January 2016

The image below recently turned up on the internet. Based on the text and the accompanying specifications, we assume that Casio is trying to lure us to their NAMM booth so they can present their latest keyboard/synthesizer: the MZ-X. This will likely remind keyboard enthusiasts of the MZ-2000, an old Casio model that, considering the words 'Reinvented, Reimagined, Reborn' is apparently about to be brought back to life. Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.

NAMM 2016: Back to the '80s with Electro Harmonix

Tuesday 12 January 2016

Late last year, Electro Harmonix introduced the Crash Pad Analog Drum Synth, and at NAMM 2016 they'll be unleashing the Super Space Drum.
