After the overwhelming success of the polyphonic minilogue, KORG introduces the monophonic monologue synthesizer. It looks a lot like its predecessor, but under the bonnet, it's been fully revamped to offer optimal monophonic possibilities. This fully-analogue synth has an improved filter, modulation section, drive circuit and LFO. The filter ensures extra powerful low tones and the drive circuit places emphasis on the lead sounds like never before. The LFO with One-Shot mode produces high frequencies and modulated sounds like you've never heard before. If you want to see as well as hear all the synth mayhem you're creating, there's a built-in OLED display with an oscilloscope.
Monologue: Anything but Boring
For starters, the step sequencer of this ingenious instrument is easy to operate via the motion sequence. On top of that, the monologue is fully-programmable, as well as the aforementioned sequences. If you're a real synthesizer fanatic, chances are you own more than one synth. Using the available connection options, you can hook the monologue up to your MIDI controllers, pad controllers, sequencers and DAWs. Using Audio Sync, you can easily integrate it into a KORG setup with your volca keys, electribe, minilogue and, naturally, your SQ-1. So, whether you're just getting acquainted with this type of synthesizer or you’re expanding on your current collection, this Silver KORG monologue monophonic synthesizer is nothing short of a must-have!

van de meest zeldzaamste van ruim 50 jaar geleden tot de nieuwste gangbare zowel duur als betaalbaar kan ik zeggen:
de MONOLOGUE is een verassende alleskunner, een werkpaard voor je studio of live-setup.
- Allereerst, een analoge synthesizer met TWEE VCO's en 100 geheugenplaatsen . . . voor dit geld !?
Doet niemand Korg na.
- De traploze Waveshaping: hierdoor worden de mogelijkheden qua analoge synthese véél breder dan op vele klassieke en ook hedendaagse analoge synthesizers van alle merken.
Zelfs zaken die er niet op lijken te zitten (bijvoorbeeld Square op vco 2) kun je zo simpel oplossen door de zaagtand te selecteren en met de wave-shaper in een square sound te veranderen.
- Elke functie kan gekoppeld worden aan de controller hendel, zodoende is er veel extra
mogelijk en kun je ook bepaalde knoppen ontzien qua slijtage.
- De externe ingang (aan de Oscilloscoop verbonden), de analoge ruis, de 16 extra grote Sequencer knoppen, flexibele key-tracking en keyboard-aanslag (op volume/filter) meteen aanwezig zonder daar een update voor nodig te hebben:
de MONOLOGUE laat duurdere synthesizers en concurrenten achter zich.

Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.
