General
The Swedish brand Elektron has already made a name for itself with the popular Machinedrum and Monomachine, and now they've also come up with a remarkable, comprehensive four-voice analogue synthesizer. The Analog Four delivers warm, organic sound, and is equipped with a unique step sequencer and dedicated Accent, Note Slide and Parameter Slide buttons. Thanks to its CV/Gate and DIN sync outputs, the Analog Four is even capable of controlling vintage synths that don't support MIDI.
The Analog Four's remarkable step sequencer
The Analog Four's step sequencer boasts a number of note-worthy features. Thanks to parameter locks (P-locks), you're able to quickly and easily adjust all effects and filters per sequencer step. Elektron has also managed to make entirely different patches (presets or kits) available per sequencer step, for each of the synth's four voices. You can even have the step sequencer control your vintage synths, using the DIN sync and CV/Gate outputs. Functions like arpeggiators and parameter locks will truly breathe new life into your old analogue gear.
Tweaking sound
Blessed with an all-analogue circuit, the Elektron Analog Four delivers warm, organic sound that can be tweaked to perfection. Each voice features two assignable LFOs and envelopes, AM cross modulation and oscillator sync, as well as LFOs for both pulse width and vibrato. Add the possibilities of four voices and external modulation to the Analog Four's quick controls and warm sound, and it's clear you're dealing with a modern classic.

dan nu de A4 ; wat een fantastisch toestel , wat een geluid , schitterend , eerst wat getwijfeld, omdat de A4 een (zo werd gezegd en geschreven ) een moeilijke synth om te leren is. Wat een bullshit , na een half uurtje had ik al iets deftig in elkaar gestoken , gewoon eens goed de handleiding lezen en dan valt het allemaal wel mee ; ik vind het eigenlijk zeer logisch allemaal . En zo veelzijdig, wat dit ding allemaal kan, ongelooflijk , deze gaat nooit meer weg . samen met overbridge, kan ik mijn Analog 4 volledig controleren met mijn ableton push . Wat een fantastisch duo. 4 monosynths, 2 duosynths, 1 mono 1 polysynth, het geluid van je DAW kan je zelfs naar de A4 sturen om analoog te bewerken of gewoon de efx op los te laten; ik kan deze analog Four aan iedereen aanbevelen, of het nu je eerste synth is of niet maakt niet uit, het was voor mij ook mijn eerste analoge synth ; Wat een beest
Al langere tijd zocht ik naar een apparaat dat mijn TR-8 en TB-3 goed kon aanvullen.
Ook was het mijn wens om minder achter mijn DAW te zitten en meer "hand on" te werken.
Na lang wikken en wegen is mijn keus gevallen op de Analog Four.
Dit apparaat is echt "mind blowing!". Het apparaat heeft wel een hoge leer curve, maar door dat je er niet af kan blijven leer je snel en ben je snel thuis in de functionalitijd en mogelijkheden van dit apparaat.
Je kunt andere synths bespelen met het "keyboardje" op de A4.
Helaas is het nog niet mogelijk om met de step sequencer zelf andere synths te laten spelen.
De parameter lock functie is echt geweldig! Daarmee is het mogelijk om per track en per stap andere waarden de geven. Hierdoor klinkt het alsof je meerde sound op de zelfde track afspeelt!
Het chorus effect op de A4 is naar mijn bescheiden mening 1 van de beste die ik tot nu gehoord heb.
Zelf heb de mijn TR-8 als master en de A4 als slave. Het mooie is dat je de A4 kunt instellen om op het aangegeven tempo van de master langzamer of sneller te laten meelopen!
De snelheden zijn verdeeld in: 1/8x; 1/4x; 1/2x; 3/4x; 1x; 3/2x en 2x.
Kortom: Veelzijdig apparaat die niet veel plek inneemt.
Enige minpuntje is dat als je via bax-shop besteld het een beetje gokken is wanneer de laagste prijs langskomt. Deze fluctueert nog al.
Voor de rest prima service en supersnelle levering!
Bax shop levert de analog four tegen de laagste prijs, dus als je het budget er voor hebt en je je wil verliezen in een waanzinnig diep en complex apparaat, twijfel dan niet de analog four te kopen.
