Sony has developed a wireless system specifically for guitar and bass guitar players. This set, which is part of Sony's DWZ series, contains the ZRX-HR50 digital receiver, the ZTX-B01 digital wireless bodypack transmitter and a GC00.7BMP guitar cable. The DWZ-B50GB has been developed for (bass) guitarists and offers a high-quality, 24-bit 48kHz linear PCM sound signal. A five-band equalizer enables you to adjust the sound to suit your preferences, and the receiver is equipped with a clear LCD display that allows for a clear overview. Using the two RF modes, you can even transmit the signal via a Wi-Fi connection.
A stable wireless connection
Sony has developed an exceptionally reliable and stable way of transmitting and receiving wireless signals. You have a choice of two modes: Wide Band Hopping and Narrow Band Hopping. The difference between the two is that the Wide Band Hopping mode reduces interference with other wireless signals, such as Wi-Fi. The Wide Hopping Band mode requires no expert knowledge of radio frequencies, and supports an additional error correction system, increasing the reliability of your connection. The maximum audio delay in the Wide Band Hopping mode is 6 milliseconds. The Narrow Band Hopping mode, on the other hand, is able to avoid signals from other wireless equipment, such as 2.4GHz remote controls for lighting gear. That means you can still depend on a reliable connection in an environment with several wireless signals. The maximum audio delay in the Narrow Band Hopping mode is 3 milliseconds.
