General

The AKG WMS420 Instrumental Set is a durable wireless beltpack system that can easily be set up. The analogue beltpack system has a wide frequency range that ranges from 40 Hz to 20 kHz. This means that you can also use it with low-frequency instruments, like a bass guitar, for instance. The total set consists of an SR420 receiver, the compact PT420 beltpack and an MKG L guitar cable. The transmitter and receiver communicate with one another via frequency band D that leads from 863 to 865 MHz. This band can be used throughout almost the whole of Europe without a license.

WMS420 Instrumental Set: easy to use

The WMS420 Instrumental Set can be set up quickly and easily. It is equipped with eight pre-programmed frequencies. The system scans these and subsequently automatically selects the frequency with the least interference and the best signal transfers. You can also manually select a different channel. The active channel can be read from your beltpack or receiver via a clear display. Indicators for battery status, signal transfer and possible overloading of the signal, are also present.

Batteries and microphones

Besides the accessory MKG L guitar cable, you can also connect microphones to the robust and compact PT420 beltpack transmitter. The bodypack is fit for all microphones from the AKG MicroMics series. One single AA battery provides enough power for the beltpack to operate for eight hours non-stop. This is more than enough for a gig or rehearsal
