General
The Alesis ASP-2 sustain pedal has exactly the same feel and response as the pedal on an acoustic piano and it even looks the same. It has a special rubber coating on the bottom to prevent it from moving during use and a cable that's 1.8 metres long. The pedal is suitable for all Alesis pianos, keyboards and MIDI controllers, but thanks to the polarity switch, it can be used with almost any instrument that has sustain pedal input with a standard jack connector.

Het is aan/uit en het switch punt zit vrij hoog. Het voelt daardoor alsof de bewegingsruimte van het padeel overbodig is. Hij gaat meteen aan, en dan moet hij weer helemaal omhoog voor uit.
Kabel is voldoende lang, maar ook niet meer dan dat. Als je ergens omheen moet (bijv. andere uitstekende kabels) dan is de lengte een beetje krap.
Ik heb deze pedaal gekocht, maar vond dat er maar weinig reviews van waren. Dus vond het nog maar af wachten wat ik er van moest verwachten. Wat ik vooral in een pedaal zocht was dat deze niet zou wegglijden.
Gebruik het pedaal nu een weekje op mijn Yamaha keyboard, het werkt gewoon prima en glijdt niet weg.
Ik vind de sustain prima en ben dus voornamelijk erg tevreden over dat het pedaal niet wegglijd.
Oftewel, gewoon solide pedaal, doet wat het moet doen en glijd niet weg.
