General

The Yamaha LP5A sustain foot pedal provides you with three pedals for the Yamaha P85, P95 or P105 digital pianos. This optional pedal feels the same as that of a real piano. The LP5A contains (from left to right) a soft control, sostenuto, and sustain pedal. With the soft control pedal you can make the sound soft and wooly. In music scores this effect is often indicated with the Italian term una corda. Hold and release the middle pedal to let your last-played note reverberate. In this manner, you can hold out your bass tone, while playing shorter, higher notes over it. Finally comes the right pedal on the LP5A: the sustain pedal. This pedal allows all dampened notes on the piano to reverberate, and can be used for various effects, i.e. accenting, strengthening the harmony, and binding tones and chords. The LP5A is compatible with the following digital pianos from Yamaha: the P85, P95 and the P105.

Tips or comments about this product
