General

Of the Tannoy Gold Series 5, 7, and 8, the Gold 8 is the largest. Meaning that this fat monitor has the widest frequency response of the three and the ability to take on bigger work, whether it's orchestral, large EDM projects, or soundtracks. Another pretty big benefit of the Gold 8 is a coaxial configuration. Most studio monitors just don't have this, so you're stuck with a separated tweeter and woofer that have to be delicately and precisely positioned to avoid any subtle phase problems. Here, the tweeter sits in the woofer, effectively putting both drivers in the same position and eliminating the problem of phase entirely. Since mixing does come down to those tiny, otherwise imperceptible details, this monitor has been built for engineers gifted with the sharp hearing of a bat.

Tja wat zal ik zeggen;
