The Eris Series turned out to be a bull's eye shot for PreSonus. After having sold a gargantuan amount of these studio monitors, they're now ready to present its successor: the PreSonus Eris E5 XT. This stunning studio monitor with a 5.25 inch woofer is the ideal jack-of-all-trades for many. With its 48 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range, this monitor delivers an honest sound image, regardless of style or genre. Pop music, media music, rock, games, the E5 XT is always an excellent choice. The max. SPL of 102 dB is perfect too; you wouldn't want anything higher in domestic settings. A wide sweet spot is ensured with the built-in wave guide, so you're not bound to a fixed installation but actually free to move this monitor around as needed. For optimal mixing results, the Eris E5 XT is going to be your new best friend.

Verticaal off-axis zijn ze al snel wat dof maar dat komt meer door mijn setup.
On-Axis zijn ze heel fijn, eerlijk en open.
Bouwkwaliteit is prima. Verpakking is ook keurig.
Pas op bij het uit de doos halen. Als de doos rechtop staat grijp je al snel vol in de tweeter. Er zit een roostertje voor maar zou het er niet op gokken. Voor de compleetheid zou Presonus er standaard misschien wat signaalkabels bij kunnen doen maar voor het geld kan je deze niet laten staan.
Helaas hoorde ik een vrij harde ruis door de linkerspeaker toen ik geen muziek afspeelde. Dit kan gekomen zijn doordat ik mijn muziek daarvoor vrij hard had staan.
Nou kan je vertellen dat deze E5-XT's wel echt in een heel andere league van "instap" modellen ligt mijn god wat een wereld van verschil, je hoort werkelijk ALLES in de mix.
Ze zijn ook wel iets duurder dan een set MR-6A maar ik raad toch echt aan om iets meer uit te geven voor deze E5-XT's ze zijn het dubbel en dwars waard.
Deze E5-XT'S hebben echt geen competitie in de instap range, deze voeren competitie met monitoren in de 500 Euro range.
Ik ben echt super tevreden met deze monitoren voor de prijs is het gewoon een steal.
Had hier en daar vernomen dat de bass wat minder zou zijn maar daar heb ik totaal geen last van
maar ik zit in Blues/Rock genre, misschien dat Club mixen het inderdaad minder doen maar kan ik geen mening over geven. Voor mij is bass meer dan voldoende.
