Following up the immensely popular iLoud Micro Series, IK Multimedia treat us to the iLoud MTM studio reference monitor. Its compact shell delivers a pleasingly neutral frequency response for accurate mixing and mastering, while any possible phase problems are eliminated by the innovative DSP system that also ensures a detail-rich, natural response. Also, the positioning of the speakers can be adjusted for close-to perfect sound distribution wherever they're placed.
Integrated ARC Reference Microphone for Perfect Monitoring in Every Studio
While most monitors will come calibrated to perform best in the ideal listening-rooms, the iLoud MTM monitors understand that life is less-than-perfect and come with an external ARC calibration microphone. The point here is that a kind of blueprint of the room is made to which the monitor can be fine tuned and the sweet-spot can be found with ease. Around the back of the housing, a healthy number of calibration presets are offered as well as high and low end tweaking options to help shape a personalised and perfect, if not essential mixing and mastering tool.

Het instellen van de EQ curve middels een impuls response van je kamer met de meegeleverde microfoon is ook binnen 5 minuten gebeurd, en zorgt ervoor dat deze DSP gestuurde speakers ook IN JE KAMER een rechtlijnige karakteristiek hebben..
Dit zijn de perfecte studio monitor speakers, waar je echt alles op terug hoort.
Qua volume zijn ze hard genoeg om je kamer (3 x 7 meter) te doen mee trillen, maar nog net niet oorverdovend. De ideale luister afstand voor deze speakers is naar mijn ervaring tussen de 80 en 150 cm.
Perfecte near field monitors dus! Erg eerlijk. Erg zuiver. Kortom: een dikke aanrader!!!
Voordeel van deze speakers is ook dat ze opvallend licht van gewicht zijn en daardoor eenvoudiger in bureau opstellingen zijn te plaatsen. In mijn geval staan ze stevig en op ideale hoogte d.m.v. K&M 23320 tafelstatieven.
