General

Between the laborious writing stage and final master comes the most time-consuming stage of any recording: the mix. The monitors used during this crucial stage need be incredibly accurate, faithful and have a wide frequency range. With the LP6 CB, Gibson make the following point: if you're sitting in a room with these monitors for tens of hours, they might as well serve as eye-candy as well. While this Cherry Burst outfitted active monitor has all the looks of the iconic Les Paul solid body guitar, its power does not lie solely in its looks.

The Power of the Gibson LP6 CB Les Paul Active Studio Monitor

The power of this monitor lies in the frequency response of 37 Hz to 47 kHz. Since the numbers don't lie, this monitor carries a weight bottom end so even orchestral music can be mixed using the surprisingly flexible LP6. The treble is delivered by a titanium tweeter and carries more range than the human ear can even detect. The range of frequencies human ears actually are able to pick up are defined with incredible accuracy, rendering this Gibson a speaker for genuine gourmets to mix any project that comes their way.
