The Alpha 80 is the heaviest model from Focal's affordable Alpha series. Focal is renowned for their high-grade studio monitors and hi-fi speakers, but with the Alpha series, the manufacturer caters specifically to the needs of home and project studios. The Focal Alpha 80 is an active two-way studio monitor with an 8-inch Polyglass woofer and a 1-inch aluminium inverted dome tweeter, and offers a powerful and detailed linear sound that is unparalleled within its price range.
Alpha 80: The Speakers
Made from paper and fibreglass, the Focal Alpha 80's 8-inch composite woofer combines low mass with high rigidity, resulting in a neutral sound with super-tight bass. Trebles are accurately reproduced by a 1-inch aluminium inverted dome tweeter, which is connected to a horn for optimal dispersion, a wide sweet spot and a fantastic stereo image.
Quality components
The Focal Alpha 80 is a bi-amped monitor, which means each of its two speakers is driven by its own class-AB amplifier. A built-in crossover divides the input signal, so each amp is exclusively used to amplify its designated frequency range, resulting in a sound that's remarkably powerful and dynamic. The studio monitor's cabinet - which is made of MDF with a stylish vinyl coating - features a front-mounted bass reflex port. As such, you can place it close to a wall, which is ideal for home and project studios, which usually only have limited space for speakers.

Snelle levering ondanks de corona maatregelingen,

Ook de super snelle levering van bax-shop niet vergeten zeker een meer punt.
Wat een genot is het om muziek uit deze speakers te horen klinken! Echt elk detail hoor je in de low, mids en highs! Als je een goede mid range klasse speaker wilt hebben, dan zit je hier perfect! Kopen zou ik zeggen :) je krijgt er geen spijt van!
J'avais comme projet de combiner ces enceintes avec des cables Vovox (je ne sais pas si c'est judicieux pour des enceintes à ce prix ?) et je ne sais toujours pas si j'investirai dans un subwoofer, comme beaucoup l'ont dit, les basses sont bien rendu.
Beaucoup parlent du fait qu'il faut necessairement une grande pièce pour les Alpha 80. Moi j'ai une pièce de 20m2 et je ne souffre pas de problèmes de reverbation ou d'echo. Les encientes sont posé sur des mousses Auralax et ils font leur travail admirablement. Cependant il faut noter, si l'on augmente fortement les décibels, il faudrait alors prévoir un meilleur isolant.
Beaucoup se plaignent aussi de la fonction veille. Moi je trouve cette fonction tout simplement géniale. Même a faible volume, les enceintes ne s'eteigne pas. Il faut vraiment qu'il n'yait plus de son, pourque les enceintes se mettent en veille. et pour les re-activer il suffit de rallumer son. Parfois il y a un petit delai, il suffit alors de emmettre un son et c'est bon. Je ne vois que d'avantages. et quand les encientes sont en veille ou en attente c'est le silence absolu, je n'entend aucun sifflement comme certains ont mentionné. Si vous avez du sifflement, c'est probablement que votre systeme d'alimentation electrique est mal configuré.
Conclusion : Merci Bax Music (qui m'ont conseillé), je suis ravi de ces magnifique Alpha 80.
Knappe speaker met exact de prestaties die ik verwacht had!
