General

If you wanted to sum up the Dynaudio Core 47 monitor, then you could maybe describe it as a clear glimpse into what's to come. The latest conventions and the latest connections; fully future-proofed and professional from every possible angle, this monitor has been stripped of any unnecessary RCA or TRS ports and instead comes fitted with analogue XLRs and an AES3 port for DA/AD conversion. A high-end, professional chunk of gear for nothing but professional ends.

The Dynaudio Core 47: Performance

This monitor has the gift of a three-way configuration, so you're immediately treated to an ultra-tight response in the mid-frequency range. In fact, the frequency reproduction in general comes close to that of a full-range unit, preparing the Core 47 for any project, across any genre, and for a little extra 'oomph', these monitors can be teamed up with the Core Sub - an enormous slab of a woofer with enough heft to trigger the nearest seismograph. Another unique feature is the wordclock performance, where an external clock generator can be used to match the internal DSP with the master-clock.

Who Needs This?

This monitor is all about the small details, but at this level, it's actually all about those small details. So, forking out for a monitor of this calibre is much like forking out for an upscale studio microphone: that extra cash is paying for all of those extra little details. The audience that this monitor has been designed for is exactly the audience that is willing to pay for it - simply because this monitor is that good. In short, any one who demands this level of quality will be willing to pay for it, and they'll never look back.
