General

The MixTower by Avantone Pro is a professional 3-way studio monitor that uses the tweeter and 6.5-inch woofer of the LA7 monitor. Low frequencies receive a bit of extra punch thanks to a front-facing bass port. The high frequencies are produced by the refined Air Motion Transformer ribbon tweeter, while a three-way amplifier provides all the power that the components need - 132 watts for the bass frequencies and 68 watts for both the middle and the high frequencies. A combined XLR/jack input allows you to connect the audio signal. This version has a light yellow (Buttercream) housing.

Avantone MixTower: Hi-Fi and Lo-Fi Mirroring

We know the midrange driver from the renowned MixCubes - the reference speakers with lo-fi frequency response. Via an accessory foot switch, you can alternate between full 3-way functionality and the renowned MixCube mode, whereby only one driver is used. This way, it's incredibly easy to judge whether a mix also works on mediocre hi-fi systems or TV speakers. The MixTower sounds highly balanced in the 3-way mode, and offers a wide frequency response.
