The attractive force of the Yamaha HPH-PRO500BU headphones start with their hard-to-resist striking blue colour. It only gets better from there, as these headphones have all of the best characteristics from the PRO300 and PRO 400 models and then some. Nothing is as fun as listening to music with others, and with the extra connector you can actually daisy-chain your music with another set of headphones. The build is also even sturdier, thanks to the aluminium alloy used for the ear cups.

You can clearly hear why Yamaha has been at the forefront of the music industry for some time now when you listen to music on these headphones. Nice supple lows filled with clear mids and sparkling highs really sing through, and the headphones rest stably on your head which, combined with soft ear cups and the SPL of 106 dB creates excellent isolation. Two tangle-resistant cables are included; the shorter one (1.2 m) has a remote/mic making it perfect for MP3 players, telephones and the like, while the longer (3 m) is intended for studio use. Simply fold up the set and place it in the included semi-rigid case for easy transport, and use the included cleaning cloth to keep the ear cups squeaky clean.
