General
The Yamaha FS820 AB has an attractive Autumn Burst finish and a powerful, resonating solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides with fancy bindings along the body and neck. This compact, elegant concert-size guitar is part of Yamaha's FS series, which was launched fifty years ago and is just as popular today as it was back then!
Spruce and mahogany
The FS820 AB is an 820 model, which are slightly more luxurious than their 800 counterparts. This is clearly visible by the rich mahogany body and cream-coloured bindings along the body and neck. The mahogany wood type adds extra power and warmth to the overall sound of the solid spruce top, which will only sound better with age. It has a scalloped bracing and a comfortable slender neck with rolled fret edges.
